Who we are
Ansareye is the operations intelligence layer for modern hospitals. We sit on top of existing hospital information systems via HL7 v2 and FHIR, and surface real-time bed management, command-center KPIs, discharge coordination, and revenue analytics for hospital operations teams.
We were founded in August 2024 in Beirut, Lebanon by Alaa Zenji and a small founding team of engineers, clinicians, and operators who had spent the previous decade shipping healthcare systems across Lebanon, the GCC, and Europe.
Why we started in 2024
Ansareye was founded in August 2024 to solve a specific problem: the best hospitals in Lebanon and the wider MENA region deliver world-class clinical care with software that was built for other markets, other budgets, and other decades. Tertiary Lebanese hospitals — AUBMC, Hôtel-Dieu de France, Clemenceau Medical Center (Johns Hopkins affiliated), LAUMC-Rizk, Saint George Hospital University Medical Center, Mount Lebanon Hospital — are clinically competitive with peers in the Gulf and Europe. Their clinical productivity is constrained by data infrastructure, not by clinical skill.
We saw an opening in 2024 to build the operations layer these hospitals actually need: multi-tenant, offline-first, EU AI Act ready, and standards-based from day one. We incorporated and started building in August 2024.
Where we are now (October 2026)
Since founding in August 2024, we have:
- Shipped the first vertical slice — Bed Management and Command Center — into production at Lebanese Medical Center (LMC) within months of founding.
- Deployed the same modules at Saint George Hospital University Medical Center (400+ beds).
- Processed more than 12,000 patient encounters and 800+ discharges through the platform.
- Built six modules (Bed Management, Command Center, Discharge Coordination, Revenue Cycle Intelligence, Interoperability Layer, Operations Analytics) on a shared multi-tenant core.
- Filed the architecture decisions (ADRs) that govern our posture on multi-tenancy, offline-first design, EU AI Act readiness, and operations intelligence (not medical device) positioning.
How we got started — the founding story
The founding team of Ansareye came together in August 2024 with one observation: in 2024–2025, the technology to build a serious hospital operations platform finally exists (mature FHIR, capable open-weights models, cost-efficient inference, cloud-native stacks), but no one is building it for emerging markets. The category is being led by Palantir, GE Command Center, LeanTaaS, Qventus, and others — all priced and built for North American academic medical centers. Nothing comparable exists for a 400-bed hospital in Beirut.
We started with the highest-leverage operational problem — bed management — because it is the same problem in every hospital in the world, and a 30% improvement in bed turnover is worth millions of dollars per year to a hospital system. From there we built the command center, the discharge workflow, and the revenue analytics — always human-supervised, always standards-based, always with the operator in the loop.
What "operations intelligence, not medical device" means
Ansareye is positioned as operations intelligence software, not a medical device. We do not diagnose, treat, prescribe, or replace clinical judgment. Every AI-generated signal in Ansareye is an advisory to a human operator who must approve before action. This positioning is documented in our internal ADR-0003 and aligns with EU MDR administrative-software guidance. It is the basis for our current go-to-market in Lebanon and our planned expansion into the GCC and EU markets in 2026–2027.
